Soap with myrtle & papyrus from the Botanical Gardens Utrecht
We work together with the Botanical Gardens Utrecht. A cross-pollination!
A wealth of special plants grows in the Botanical Gardens, which we use to create special soaps. The first edition is made with myrtle and papyrus, harvested in the Botanical Gardens.
We harvested, dried and shredded the papyrus in the soap, the myrtle was distilled into a hydrolate. It is the first of a series and has become a very nice fresh-sweet-earthy soap.
In this blog you can find out more about the processing of papyrus and the soapmaking.
